Juiced.GS will extend its record as the world’s longest-running Apple II print publication with a 19th volume of issues to be published in 2014.
“Our subscriber base has consistently grown year-over-year since 2007,” says Ken Gagne, editor and publisher of Juiced.GS. “There’s a powerful desire for the timeless features and in-depth analysis that are the hallmark of a traditional print publication. I’m thrilled Juiced.GS will continue to serve these needs of the Apple II community.”
Retrocomputing enthusiasts can subscribe to the 2014 volume’s four quarterly issues at $19 for customers in the United States, $24 in Canada and Mexico, and $27 for international.
Juiced.GS‘s library of PDF content also grows today with the launch of three new Concentrates, bundles of thematic material originally published across years of Juiced.GS print issues:
- Getting Started collects 2011’s three-part series of where and how to acquire an Apple II, how to repair it, what programs and accessories to add, and what to do with your rig once it’s completed.
- Interactive Fiction examines the surprisingly active state of modern text adventures, including reviews Leadlight, Twisty Little Passages, and Get Lamp, and a comparison of the IF development environments Eamon and Inform.
- Logo is an 18-page introduction to programming in Logo and features exclusive content, including homework solutions, further reading suggestions, and code samples on Apple II disk images.
